‘A RARE TALENT’: Sherman Patent Search Group adds Gazell Call, PhD to its growing team

Sherman Patent Search Group, a leader in patent searches for large corporations, law firms, inventors and universities, announces the addition of Gazell Call, PhD as Patent Search Associate, further expanding their team of technical research experts.

Call received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Arkansas, followed by her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. In her previous role as Senior Scientist at Zimmer Biomet, she was a key contributor in both the research and development of the successful launch of an allograft medical device to the orthopedic market.

Her hire comes at an opportune time. Call’s expertise in generating commercialization assessment reports and serving as the scientific liaison between tech transfer organizations and the end-user business units will be a strong asset as SPSG launches into new and innovative markets.

“Gazell will play a strategic role in our company as we grow and expand into different markets, including tech transfer and commercialization consultation,” said Eugene Lhymn, CEO of SPSG. “She also brings an incredible technical acumen to SPSG which will play a key role in securing additional search contracts. She’s a rare talent, and we are lucky to have her on the team.”

Outside of SPSG, Call enjoys hiking and exploring the hill country surrounding her hometown of Austin, Texas with her husband and two fierce young daughters. Her creative outlets include home improvement projects, sewing, and researching fun crafts to build and experiment with her children.
