Sherman Patent Search Group strengthens chemistry-related expertise, adding Leonard Williams to its accomplished team

Sherman Patent Search Group, a leader in patent searches for large corporations, law firms, inventors and universities announces the addition of Leonard Williams as Patent Search Associate. The move broadens the team’s breadth of knowledge in biomedical and chemistry-related fields.

Williams received his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina, followed by his M.S. in Organic / Bioorganic Chemistry from the University of Maryland. Leveraging his background in bioorganic chemistry, pharmaceutical, biotech and chemical arts, Williams’s career has been defined by his pursuit and discovery of novel cancer therapeutics and delivery methods.

His career has taken him on a full circle journey from inventor where he was granted two cancer research patents, to supporting other research as an analyst and patent search associate. “I find it fascinating and humbling that I have been blessed to see my career journey go from research, to patent examiner with the USPTO, and now being able to support and help others in their intellectual property pursuits,” remarks Williams. “It is a full circle that has granted me unique perspectives and experiences.”

Williams life outside of IP includes reading, traveling, working out and spending time with his children.
